Nutritious Almond Oil- DIY techniques for Skin and Hair

DIY techniques for Skin and Hair

 

 

1. Tan-Removing Scrub Ingredients:

7-8 tbsp besan or gram flour

1-2 tbsp turmeric powder

2 tbsp honey

2-3 tbsp almond oil

2 tbsp lemon juice

4 tbsp of curd

Method:

  • Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • Beat it till it becomes a smooth paste.
  • Massage it all over your face and body.
  • Gently scrub in circular motions for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash off with lukewarm water.
  • Apply some moisturiser to prevent drying of the skin.

How It Works:

Being a natural exfoliant, besan not only helps in dark spots and sun tan from the skin but also evens out the complexion. The potent anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric help in shielding the skin from bacterial infections whereas curd, honey and almond oil keep the skin nourished and moisturize dry skin and bestow a radiant glowing complexion. Use the scrub on alternate days to get faster results.

 

2. Anti-ageing Facial Serum

Ingredients:

½ cup almond oil 

2-3 tbsp coconut oil

¼ cup beeswax

¼ cup aloe vera gel

2 tbsp shea butter

1 tsp Vitamin E oil 

Few drops of lavender essential oil

Method:

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl sans the aloe vera gel essential oils.
  • Place it over a double boiler so that the shea butter and bees wax melts completely.
  • Allow it to cool for some time and blend the aloe vera gel into the mixture.
  • Cool the batter completely and mix vitamin E oil and lavender oil until a smooth creamy consistency is achieved.
  • Store it in airtight containers for future use.
  • Apply the facial serum all over your face, and neck before going off to bed.

How It Works:

Infused with the goodness of antioxidants, shea butter not only nourishes and moisturises the skin but also offers sun protection. The almond oil helps in preventing premature ageing of skin, whereas coconut oil and aloe vera gel keeps the skin moisturised and hydrated. This serum plays a crucial role in restoring a youthful glow.

 

3. Nourishing Hair Serum

Ingredients:

3 tbsp of coconut oil

2 tbsp almond oil

2 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel

1 vitamin E oil capsule

1 tbsp glycerine

Method:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

Pour it in a small container and store it in a cool dry place for future use.

Take good of quantity of the serum and massage it evenly onto the scalp and hair.

Allow it stay for 15 minutes and shampoo afterwards.

How It Works:

The amazing oil blends and glycerine make the hair smooth and lustrous and improves blood circulation in the scalp. Aloe vera having an abundance of proteolytic enzymes not only repairs dead skin cells on the scalp but also promotes hair growth and prevents itching.
